Forthcoming Activity

Over the next few months Geoffrey Brown, Director of EUCLID, will be running various CulturEuro Seminars - Plymouth, Bradford and Hull - which look at the funding opportunities available to the arts & culture sector.    

Geoffrey will also be running several Culture Programme Workshops – Manchester, London and Edinburgh - which will assist organisations applying to the 1 October deadline.

EUCLID’s European Manager, Matti Allam, will be attending A Vision of the Future - Creativity and Innovation in European Collaboration, taking place in Birmingham and run by The Life Long Learning Programme, Youth in Action and Europass.

Finally, EUCLID will be present at the Cultural Contact Point meeting in Gothenburg, which will also encompass the Promoting a Creative Generation Conference, organized by the Swedish Presidency.

What's it all about?

With new opportunities for cultural co-operation projects and activities in Europe, this is an exciting time for the sector. As the UK’s official Contact Point for the EU's Culture and Europe for Citizens funding programmes, EUCLID has the very latest news on the programmes for 2009-2013.

If you are planning a project collaboration, or if you simply want to know about the EU funding opportunities available to the cultural sector, these seminars are for you!

 

What will the seminar cover? 

  • Background of the EU – knowing how it works and what’s in it for you
  • Detailed information on the full range of EU funding programmes, including the Culture programme, the latest programmes for education, training and young people, the environment, research & development programmes, plus the latest Structural Funds, and possible new opportunities for rural areas resulting from changes to the Common Agricultural Policy budgets.
  • A brief reminder of non-EU opportunities, including European trusts and foundations, as well as bursaries, grants and awards
  • Ways in which cultural organisations can develop European partnerships
  • How cultural organisations can deal with the latest EU rules and regulations
  • Key requirements for applying to the EU programmes and tips for developing an application

Where do the seminars take place?
All seminars start at 1.30pm, with registration and tea & coffee from 1.00pm, and take place at central locations unless otherwise stated.
