EUCLID - sharing knowledge for culture

Not the European Union: Other European Sources of Funds

Not the European Union:

Other European Sources of Funds

Friday 9th December - Tate Modern, London

Presented in association with Tate Modern

About this conference
The EU offers a wide range of funding opportunities for the cultural sector. But is that it at the European level?

Well, no. Other opportunities do exist from agencies such as the Council of Europe, from foundations and from trusts and sponsorship, amongst others.

This conference looked at these and other sources of funding, whilst exploring a number of the key issues that are involved in accessing these opportunities, including:

  • Whether these sources are primarily for cultural co-operation projects that involve partner organisations from multiple countries (and which must include the country that the foundation or trust is based in).
  • Whether there are any particular cultural differences to be aware of when approaching foundations or sponsors from other European countries.
  • The all important practical issues to be considered.

Speakers

  • Pippa Collett, CEO, Spectrum Sponsorship, member of European Sponsorship Association
  • Ardi Kolah, Sponsorship & Licensing Consultant
  • Bartolomeo Pietromarchi, General Secretary, Fondazione Adriano Olivetti, Italy
