Events
events providing information on EU funding opportunities
- CulturEuro – following on from popular half-day seminars, Euclid now offers a range of webinars. These include a 90 min overview of a broad range of EU opportunities relevant to the arts, culture, heritage and creative industries, and 60 min webinars focused on individual programmes listed below. The current range of webinars is listed on the left side of this website.
- Culture sub-programme – Euclid provides occasional workshops or webinars to help applicants for the projects strand of the Creative Europe: Culture sub-programme to complete the application forms
- Europe for Citizens – in the absence of a UK contact point, Euclid offers regular webinars to explain this programme in detail and help potential applicants understand the criteria and other requirements
- Erasmus+ – this complex programme, which supports projects linked to education, training and youth, offers a number of opportunities for arts, culture, heritage and the creative industries – both support for projects and small grants for individual or group mobility. Euclid is launching occasional seminars to explain these opportunities and help potential applicants understand the criteria and other requirements. This programme is also the subject of regular webinars.

Analysing Relevant Opportunities
a detailed analysis matching your organisation to EU opportunities
Your organisation can get your own individualised matching eU report – on the basis of an assessment of your organisation’s objectives, activities, history, capacity and ideas, this report will provide an analysis of those EU funding opportunities which are most relevant to your needs and interests, and where you have the greatest chances of success.
The cost of this report is £250 for a single organisation. This service can be provided for a group of 5 or more organisations for a discount of 20% per organisation (so it would be £1,000 for 5 organisations, or £750 if they are Connexus members).
Organisations for which Euclid has prepared such a report include the Hellenic Centre (London), Bradford College and Blackpool Council.
Please contact Euclid directly (info@euclid.info) if you have specific questions or would like more information.H
Developing Your Application
help with your EU application
Euclid can help you with your EU application – especially (but not exclusively) with your application to the Culture programme. We can review your application forms, including the budget, and provide feedback and analysis to ensure that your application has the strongest chance of success. Euclid can advise you to make sure you use the language, wording and content that will resonate the strongest with the jury members and maximise your chances of success.
This service can be tailor-made to your needs on the basis of £60 per hour / £400 per day. It may be that you only need a review of your application form which will take just a few hours, or you may need more detailed input, including work on the detail of the budget, which may require 2 days or more.
Please contact Euclid directly (info@euclid.info) if you have specific questions or would like more information.
Euclid has provided advice and guidance to the following organisations in respect of their applications for EU funding:
- Bradford College – an application to the EU Culture programme (2013) for a project involving partners from UK, Latvia, Lithuania and Australia, to develop a new textile archive resource. The applicant decided to postpone the application to a later deadline.
- Grand Union Theatre – an application to the EU Culture funding programme (2012) for a project which brought together partners in France, Portugal and the UK, to enable musicians and communities to work with one another to reflect and respond to a unique range of the traditional and contemporary musics of Europe. This application was successful.
- Northamptonshire County Council – an application to the EU Culture funding programme (2012) for Changing Tracks, which commissioned contemporary visual and / or digital artists from the partner countries of Ireland, Spain (Catalonia region) and the UK to explore and respond to the shared economic and cultural themes of disused railway lines, and their evolving use today as new walk and cycle pathway initiatives aimed at connecting communities, supporting local domestic tourism and encouraging active, healthy lifestyles of European citizens. This application was successful.
- Belarus Free Theatre / Wonderbird – development of an application from the Belarus Free Theatre to one of the special EU funding programmes aimed at countries neighbouring the EU – in this case, Belarus. Euclid worked on this application through Wonderbird, a consultancy specialising in fundraising for the arts & culture sector.

Managing Your Project
help with your successful EU project
If you have been successful, Euclid can help in two ways. Firstly, at the start of your project, Euclid can provide advice and guidance to help ensure that your project is well organised and managed – in areas such as planning, partner communications and meetings, EU reporting and financial management and reporting – as well as providing help and assistance should anything untoward occur during your project.
Secondly, at the end of your project, Euclid can help you prepare your final report – we can review the report and financial statements, and provide feedback and analysis to ensure that you have covered all the EU requirements and help ensure that your final report and financial statements is such so as to minimise any requests for further information from the Agency or other EC officials, and will help ensure you receive the maximum final payment as quickly as possible.
Fees for this service will be determined on the basis of the amount of work required. Euclid has managed its own EU funded projects (as Culture Contact Point and for projects funded by grants from, for example, the Grundtvig programme).
