Accessing the easier EU funding opportunities for arts, culture & heritage

14 July 2015 – Liverpool

A one day festival flavoured conference, aimed to help unlock the easier European funding opportunities:

  • Be inspired and learn about EU opportunities and successful EU projects.
  • Be entertained by performers from Europe, Africa and the Caribbean.
  • Be at Constellations, 35-39 Greenland Street, Liverpool, L1 0BS

This one-day seminar will focus on the “low-hanging fruit” of EU funds for the arts, culture, heritage and creative industries. Following an introduction and overview, there will be three separate sessions, each focusing on a key programme: Erasmus+, Creative Europe: Culture and Europe for Citizens. Although the Erasmus+ and Europe for Citizens programmes are not directly focussed on arts and culture, they provide a number of opportunities – and are in many ways easier to access than the Culture programme – for example, most of their strands are based on lump sum funding so no detailed budgets to prepare. Erasmus+ is focused on training, lifelong learning and young people, and Europe for Citizens offers support for mobility or projects which link to key moments in Europe’s history in the last 100 or so years, or which bring citizens closer to the EU democratic process – a key issue as the UK faces an in/out EU referendum within the next 2 years.

The Erasmus+ session will be led by Brouhaha; the Creative Europe: Culture session by the UK Creative Europe Desk, and the Europe for Citizens session by Euclid, who has acted as the UK Contact Point for this programme. Each session will provide both information and examples of case studies, and there will be an opportunity for delegates to meet with the speakers to ask questions and discuss your own project ideas. There will also be opportunities to share project ideas and to engage in round table discussions with the lead speakers.

The delegate cost for the day, including lunch, coffee breaks and a drink at the end of the day, is £60 – and just £20 for Connexus members (£25 per annum, join at www.culture.info). You can book your place for this seminar at www.euclid.info.
